A F.A.B. Mother’s Day Gift for Moms of Teen Girls

  • Comments Off on A F.A.B. Mother’s Day Gift for Moms of Teen Girls

Celebrating Mother’s Day can be tough for those of us who are missing our moms.

In the three years since my Mom has passed, I have been intentional about honoring her memory and legacy of serving others.

And this year is no different as I kick off the weekend speaking virtually to a group of 9th grade girls at the request of a mom who serves as the girls’ small group leader.

In preparation for the session, the leader asked the girls to list their struggles and what they would like me to address during our time together.

There were over thirty responses and the issue that had the second highest comments (you will hear more about the #1 issue in a later post), was their inability to say NO to their boyfriends.

Following are some of the things they shared when asked what they wanted me to address:

  • How to say NO to things you aren’t comfortable with,
  • How to deal with uncomfortable situations with your boyfriend,
  • Learning how to say NO.
  • How to say NO in a kind way,
  • How to let go of an unhealthy relationship without breaking their heart.

To be honest, I wasn’t really surprised when I read their comments.

Why?

Because teen girls in my classes tell me all the time the only reason that they had sex was because they didn’t know how to say NO, or they didn’t want their boyfriends to get upset with them.

I’m sure you don’t want your daughter to feel this way either, but she could very likely have these same concerns.

As a society we have taught girls to be nice, to be accommodating, to steer clear of conflict, to be a “team player…”

That’s why it is so important to teach your daughter that SHE HAS THE RIGHT TO SAY NO.

It doesn’t matter what the person she’s dating thinks.

And I am excited to share a new resource I created for moms (or dads) of teen girls that will help you do just that.

Just in time for Mother’s Day!

Do I Have Something F.A.B. for You!

I have long believed the best way for me to prevent more teen girls from making poor relationship choices is by equipping their parents to empower them.

And that’s why my mission has always been to come alongside parents to reinforce for their teen daughters the importance of knowing their worth and never settling for less than they deserve.

“My mom used to tell me this all the time, but I would tune her out! Hearing it come from you was a real attention grabber. I believe the way you taught us was great because it really
touched me. We are blessed to have someone like you.
 It’s like you’re helping
our parents by telling us what they are trying to say.”

I have been able to reinforce parents’ messaging with girls in my classes for 20 years and I’m excited about the opportunity to help even more girls know their worth by equipping their parents to be their primary teacher/empowerment coach.

Which leads me to the good news I have for you…

Several years ago, I created a Checklist, 10 Ways to Raise a Daughter Who’s F.A.B. (Focused, Authentic & Brave), that parents can download for FREE.

Even though the response to the Checklist was amazing, I received a number of requests from moms who wanted additional guidance and practical steps.

So, I created the 10 Ways to Raise a Daughter Who’s F.A.B. e-course to accompany the Checklist.

And it’s a gamechanger!

The 10 Ways to Raise a Daughter Who’s F.A.B. e-course will equip you to help guide your daughter on the path to becoming the Focused, Authentic and Brave young woman she was always destined to be.

Featuring:

  • 10 video modules with in-depth lessons.
  • Letters from real teen girls in my classes and the stories they’ve shared with me about the struggles and regrets that have hindered them from being F.A.B.
  • 30 practical action steps you can begin implementing on Day One!

As the mom below confirms, this e-course is the new go-to resource for moms everywhere who want to raise their daughters to be confident in their own skin so they can make their own unique mark on the world!

“I watched all 10 videos, and they were wonderful! Every single one had amazing information and practical tips. As a mom of all girls, one being 16 now, I love that you literally give the ‘what to do’ related to the specific topic you are talking about.

Having the practical ‘tools’ with how to tackle these vital things to raise her to be F.A.B. is awesome and so helpful. You make it doable without my daughter feeling like she’s getting another ‘lecture.’ Lol

Even the practical tools that you give us moms with how to suggest things to our husbands to help them understand the importance of connecting with their daughters was helpful.

In a world that is full of lies and deception, specifically towards our daughters, we have to do better. You are helping equip moms to do that and I genuinely thank you from the bottom of my heart. This needs to be heard by every mother everywhere so that these beautiful, worthy, and significant young girls will be empowered, equipped, encouraged, and challenged to be difference makers.”
~ Kristin, mom of a 16-year-old daughter

One Gift – Two Beneficiaries

I used to give my Mom a gift on my birthday.

I always told her if it wasn’t for her, I would not have had a birthday. So, she deserved to be celebrated as much as I did.

And if it wasn’t for your daughter, you may not have been able to celebrate Mother’s Day (unless of course you have other children).

So, this Mother’s Day why not treat yourself with a gift that your daughter will reap the benefits from as well?

Think of it as your present to her for being her mom.

And yes flowers, cards, and pampering sessions are all great Mother’s Day gifts.

But having the peace of knowing you’re raising your daughter to be Focused, Authentic & Brave like we both know she can be…

A young woman empowered with the courage to stand on her principles and not compromise her standards/dreams and goals for anyone or any relationship?

Now that’s priceless!

Happy Mother’s Day!

P.S. As a mother of a teen daughter, you want nothing more than to see her realize her full potential and enjoy her journey along the way. And she absolutely can by the grace of God and with a little help from you encouraging and empowering her to become the Focused, Authentic & Brave young woman she was destined to be. A young woman who knows she has the right to say NO and won’t feel the need to please a boyfriend who’s likely going to become her ex anyway. My new e-course will help you help your daughter become “that girl” which makes it the perfect Mother’s Day gift that keeps on giving. Go here to download your checklist TODAY and take advantage of this one-time opportunity for the discount of 48% off.

P.P.S. Please share this post with all your mom friends who have teen daughters on social media. Thank you!
