The Ripple Effect: 2012 Edition

stones in a water

I alone cannot change the world; but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples. ~Mother Theresa

Last week I shared here that I was looking forward to the ending of my summer and the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year. After reading the post, a friend asked me how many students I had spoken to last year and if I knew how many of them made commitments to abstain from sex.

So I decided to check the numbers and they blew me away. I am now even more motivated to continue casting stones (Yes, even motivational speakers need a little motivation from time to time).

I wanted to share my results in case they may serve as a source of motivation for you as you cast your stones.

While I am humbled by the results of the Info graphic above which documents my impact during 2012,  my work is not finished yet. I still have many more ripples to create!

What about you?  In what ways are you casting stones?  And what has been the ripple effect?

Sharing is caring!

Wow Jackie!  Just imagine what would have been the ripple effect for all the students you've reached, had you not trusted God and taken that leap of faith 13 years ago…Who would have showed them that they could dream bigger dreams, make better decisions and walk into their destinies??

LaMonica, The reward for taking the leap of faith has been MUCH greater than I ever imagined! I'm amazed every day that what I do for a living could create this many ripples.

Awww! Thank you Genise! I'm inspired by you as well. I wasn't nearly as focused as you are when I was your age. So I can only imagine what God will do through you! Can't wait to see it all unfold!

Awesome!!  And there's one number you can't measure…the number of seeds planted between their ears!

    Jackie,

It's so encouraging to have people like you in the field laboring with and for those in need, our young people! May God continue blessing your words, your walk, and your will power to stay faithful to him :)…

Thanks Chris! You have been an awesome advocate for me and the young people and I don't take it for granted. May God continue blessings you as well. We're all in this together!
