Thank you for helping me do this…
Hasn’t 2020 been quite the year?
Yet, as difficult as this year has been, we can all find something to be thankful for.
As we finish out the year and head into this Thanksgiving week, I would like to share with you a few of the things I’m thankful for.
Thank God!
Of course, I’m always thankful for that which is so easy to take for granted—my health, family and friends.
I’m humbled that God would trust me to be one of His vessels bringing hope and healing to a generation of youth so desperate for TRUTH. And grateful that He continues to guide me in the best way to do so.
“Your presentation was emotional for me because I am ‘that girl’ and I could relate. I used to be naïve like the girls you were talking about. Many of us females just need an outlet.
I’ve been molested, which made me lose every bit of worth I ‘thought’ I had. I plan on growing so much to the point I won’t have to question my worth once. Regaining my worth will mean everything in the world to me and hearing you speak and keep it the truth with us is exactly what I needed.“
Last, but definitely not least, I am so very, very grateful for the army of intercessors that God has assigned to me.
Last week, I taught four 90-minute virtual classes each day (one of the classes was actually 2 hours).
And teaching virtually is much more difficult than teaching in person because it’s a challenge to get the students to engage/talk.
Which means I end up basically talking the entire class.
Even though I love to talk, doing so for 6 ½ hours in front of a computer screen is exhausting.
On my last day of teaching, a sweet woman I volunteered with at a homeless shelter called while I was teaching and left me a message.
I returned her call a couple of days later and she said she wanted to make sure I was okay. She said every morning when she would kneel down to pray for about four days, she would hear my name and begin praying for me.
I told her about my four days of teaching virtually and thanked her for praying because I was sure her prayers helped me get through the grueling schedule.
She said, “Isn’t it amazing that the last time I heard your name when I kneeled to pray was the last day that you taught the classes?”
Amazing indeed!
THANK YOU!
Of course, I can’t list all the things I’m grateful for without including you.
Thank you for clicking on the emails that appear in your inbox every week.
I don’t take it for granted that you’re willing to spend your precious time reading about my daily discussions with teens.
Thank you for sharing my posts on your social media sites and forwarding the emails to your friends, neighbors, youth pastors and even your children.
But most importantly, thank you for your prayers for me AND the students!
God is honoring your prayers so please keep them coming!
I’m blessed to share my journey with you.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
P.S. One more thing I’m thankful for is the positive feedback I’ve received from moms like you who’ve been encouraging me to create an in-depth resource for teen guys for years. My new Boys to Men Masterclass wouldn’t exist without it. And let’s be real, a course just for teen guys on sex, girls and relationships (from a faith-based perspective), is long overdue. We’re tackling topics teen guys like your son, grandson, nephew or even your daughter’s boyfriend rarely hear addressed from the media, school, church or even adult men. The Boys to Men Masterclass could prove to be the GAMECHANGER your son/grandson/nephew needs to discover his purpose, delay gratification, and define manhood so he can mature into the man he was always destined to be. And that’s something he’ll forever be grateful to YOU for! Go here for more information.
